Solar Site Upgrade

The Challenge: A solar facility required a comprehensive system overhaul, including server replacement and display updates, to ensure uninterrupted real-time monitoring.

The Approach: Executed a complete PI Server swap, developed 5 custom PI Vision screens tailored for solar generation metrics, and performed rigorous data validation checks.

The Result: Upgraded the site to a modern, stable infrastructure with enhanced visibility and accurate real-time tracking for engineering teams.

Large-Scale Migration

The Challenge: A major energy provider maintained thousands of active PI Vision dashboards, analyses, and notifications tied into routine enterprise operations, requiring systematic development, organization, and upkeep.

The Approach: Over 3,000 PI Vision dashboards were developed, maintained, and updated across the enterprise, alongside more than 2,000 PI AF analyses and notifications. Asset frameworks were systematically structured to ensure seamless rendering and reliable alerting.

The Result: Engineering and operations teams were equipped with fully optimized, responsive dashboards featuring automated notifications, drastically improving real-time tracking across sites.

PI System Installation

The Challenge: A solar energy facility required a reliable, dedicated infrastructure to capture and manage real-time generation data directly from field controllers.

The Approach: Full deployment of new PI Servers was executed alongside tailored AVEVA PI software configurations for a solar site environment. Robust PI Interfaces were established to secure a stable, continuous data flow.

The Result: The site gained a dependable real-time data foundation, delivering clear, instant visibility into generation metrics for operations teams.

Data Diode Installation

The Challenge: A coal-fired power plant needed to securely transmit operational data out to the corporate network without exposing the plant floor to external cyber threats.

The Approach: Data Diode hardware configurations were implemented to establish a strict, one-way security boundary. Regular automated reboots and health-check protocols were established as part of routine maintenance.

The Result: Achieved total isolation of critical plant control networks while providing seamless enterprise-level data visibility.

On-Site PI Vision Training

The Challenge: Plant operators and engineers transitioning away from legacy tools required hands-on guidance to build confidence using modern web-based displays.

The Approach: Targeted on-site PI Vision training sessions and QA workshops were delivered specifically for former PI ProcessBook users, covering day-to-day navigation, display building, and design best practices.

The Result: Accelerated user adoption, eliminated user friction, and empowered personnel to independently create and manage operational displays.

Custom Excel PI DataLink

The Challenge: Engineering and management teams needed deep production-data histories and long-term trend analysis for regulatory compliance and performance auditing.

The Approach: Advanced custom datasets and automated reporting templates were developed in Microsoft Excel using PI DataLink to pull large historical chunks directly into structured spreadsheets.

The Result: Teams gained access to detailed historical reports quickly without overloading server resources, streamlining engineering analysis and auditing workflows.

PI Manual Logger Integration

The Challenge: Operational metrics and manual plant logs across facilities were recorded on paper or in isolated spreadsheets, causing data silos.

The Approach: PI Manual Logger was deployed and configured, providing plant personnel with a structured, standardized entry tool to log manual field readings directly into the PI System.

The Result: Paper logs were eliminated, successfully unifying manual lab and field data with automated sensor data into a single, comprehensive historical database.
